Enjoy the fourth trailer for Killer is Dead (plus some extra boobs)

12 Jun

killer is dead

We are at the edge of a new generation of console and in the middle of a proper brand new old-school console war, but still, we can use our fingers to count the title that really amaze us. So for now we’ll stick to the current gen, where we still have something able to sky-rocket our hype meter.

We are obviously talking about Killer is Dead, mainly because we are in love with its creator, the video games god Goichi Suda.

So in the middle of the post-E3 storm (or shitstorm) we are pleased to show you the latest trailer for the upcoming X360 and Ps3 title from Grasshopper Manufacture. Enjoy!

And why not? Also a new KID TV episode is out, featuring some boobs as usual (including Jessica Nigri‘s). We still don’t know what they’re talking about, but…who really cares?

DoDonPachi Saidaioujou for Xbox 360 will be region free

13 May

DoDonPachi Saidaioujou

Hey shmup nerds, we got a really good news for you all!

After Rising Star Games‘ announcement about their decision to not release any other Cave’s shooter in the west due to poor sales, we all lost hope to play all the upcoming bullet hells from the well-known Japanese software house.

But thing are getting better as Cave itself tweeted this last week:

As usual, we know Japanese language could be a bit tricky, so everything you need to know is that DoDonPachi Saidaioujou for Xbox 360 will be region-free! This is an amazing news, and we’re all glad to Cave to allow us western players to enjoy their upcoming arcade port for the Xbox 360.

Obviously it will be a bit more expensive than a theoretical PAL/NTSC-U version, due to the import status and all the shipping costs, but still at least we got the chance to play it.

DoDonPachi Saidaioujou 怒首領蜂最大往生

DoDonPachi Saidaioujou will be released on May 30 and for now you can pre-order it from Play-Asia or Ami-Ami.

New trailer (and more) for Killer is Dead

10 May

killer is dead tits boobs

Hyped for the upcoming new game from Suda51? Good! Ready for a shitload of boobs (both virtual and real)? Nice, because a new trailer (the third one) for Killer is Dead is out and it’s all about Mondo’s girls. Enjoy.

Ok, they look pretty amazing (obviously we’re talking about graphics and animations). Now, are you ready for some real boobs? Below you can find the first two videos of the new-born KID TV (KID stands for Killer is Dead), featuring the always gorgeous Jessica “Lollipop Chainsaw’s Juliet” Nigri and other wonderful Japanese babes dressed like female characters from the game. Yep, there is also Goichi Suda (probably) talking about the game, but as we can’t speak japanese, that part of the video wasn’t really appealing for us.

Happy now? Good, said so, we can just hope to get a US/European release date as soon as possible, remembering that the game will be out this Summer.

New trailer for Watch Dogs

30 Apr

watch dogs

There’s no need to say how hard we’re waiting Watch Dog, mostly for its original gameplay and secondly for being one of first game ever announced for the next generation consoles.

We’re not going to tell you more about the game, even because you know it all already, and there’s not much more to say. Just enjoy the trailer and get a little more hyped.

Watch Dogs will hit the market on November 22nd 2013, for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and most likely also for the new un-named Xbox.

Shenmue 3 will be released by the end of 2014

1 Apr

shenmue 3

Yep, we can’t believe it too, but IT IS REAL! Yu Suzuki, after all the false news and the never started Kickstarter campaign, just announced that he found a private funder for the long-waited Shenmue 3!

Thanks to this mysterious benefactor, Suzuki has been able to buy all the unused rights of the Shenmue franchise from SEGA (we’re wondering for how much) and finally get to work on the new chapter of the saga. There are still no details about the development team and/or the precise release timing, but the Japanese designere confirmed that the game will be ready by the end of 2014 and it will be released on the current generation consoles (no words about the Wii U).

Suzuki also said that he’s recruiting talented people for the project, and that he will publish a proper press release, including all contact info for joining Team Shenmue.

So, the wait is over (oh well, it’s yet started) and the game that everybody wants is finally becoming real! Stay tuned for more upcoming infos in the next days.

Bayonetta 2 will be released also on X360 and PS3

1 Apr

bayonetta 2

Platinum Games and SEGA revealed that the high-hyped upcoming Bayonetta 2 will be no longer a Nintendo exclusive! Indeed the witch will be back (still in TBA date) on all the platforms, so Wii U, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. This is an awesome news for alle the fans that not own a Wii U (but not so awesome for Nintendo)!

Seems like the decision is led by the poor sales of the Nintendo’s console, but maybe the real reasons for this sudden change of mind are still unknown. This is what a Platinum Games spokesman said earlier today:

“After seeing the very low sales of the Nintendo Wii U we decided -for the good of our game- to expand the availability of Bayonetta 2 also on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. This decison has been taken from both Platinum Games and SEGA, alongside with Nintendo, that anyway will maintain all the future DLCs as an exclusive for the Wii U.”

TDP Review | Bit.Trip Runner 2

15 Mar

bit.trip runner2
The first thing popped up in our mind when staring at this (former) white blog page, trying to write a short review for this game, was:

You run, jump, slide, dance and die (a lot). Than you throw your controller to the screen.
THE END.

That maybe was a bit too short so we’ll try to explain why this game is so frustrating as much as addictive.
Let’s start saying, as the title shown, Runner2 is part of the Bit.Trip franchise by indie developer Gaijin Games and sequel to the acclaimed Bit.Trip Runner released in 2010.

bit.trip runner2

If you played it you know why we called it “frustrating” and not a single chance Runner2 is any better: the game is difficult, deal with it!
If you didn’t play it shame on you, but we are kind and nice and ready to explain what is about. Unlike the others Bit.Trip games, Runner is a quite classic 2D rhythm platformer where the main character, Commander Video, runs through stages from left to right jumping and sliding due to reach the end. More actions has been added to this second chapter making the first one look nice and clear; you now have a shield to use against giant bouncing pixels, you can slide and jump at the same time to pass through very tiny spaces, and the funniest feature added: you can now dance to earn more points!

bit.trip runner2

As we said music is again a very important part, every action, every obstacle will have a different sound helping to compose the main theme of the level which is, of course, 8-bit-ish. We totally loved it, and fits perfectly the frenetic feeling of the whole game.
One of the most important new features (yeah, to dance is amazing but doesn’t help a lot to complete levels) are the checkpoints, miracle!! We do have fucking checkpoints!! This game is basically a trial&error kind of game, not having checkpoints was the most frustrating thing as you had to start over and over and over the same level. Now is your choice, you can simply pass the checkpoint or jump OVER it and risk to earn more points for the final ranking. Thanks Gaijin Games we are very grateful!

Also, do you like collectibles? If the answer is YES you’ll love Runner 2. The game itself is around 100 levels but you have so many collectibles like golds, new crazy characters to unlock, costumes and hidden retro game cartridges (each one unlocking other retro levels) that you will play it at least two or three times, plus the three difficulty levels makes it durable and replayable.

bit.trip runner2
“Believe it or not. Not every game has to be brown” is one of the random tips showing up during the loading screen, together with “make sure to eat a banana every day”, and we can’t agree more. The sentence mocking the new realistic next-gen games all shaded in brown and grey, is just to underline what you can actually see in Gaijin Games’ style: a lot of brilliant colours, attention to details (apart for this little glitch) and a lovely game design that makes everything a pleasure for the eyes. If sometimes the background is so detailed to make difficult see what you are doing (and we suspect that is made on purpose, bastards!) you will soon forget about it and keep smiling because the moon has such a demented face or because that cloud has cute mustaches.

bit.trip runner2

In the end, we really liked the game because it has that nostalgic feeling we are looking for together with the hardcore difficulty that makes you get VERY angry and swear in front of the TV but you can’t stop playing because you KNOW you are better than that.

Bit.Trip Runner 2 is out now on XBLA, PSN and Steam. But if we didn’t convince you already, take a look at the trailer!

Remember Me release date revealed

27 Feb

Earlier today Capcom released a brand new trailer for their upcoming sci-fi game Remember Me.

Along with the trailer, the Japanese software house revealed also the release dates for both North America and Europe. The game will hit the US territory on June 4 and the European countries on June 7 (yep, 2013).

Huge Alien egg appears in London

12 Feb

Tomorrow, or better today (as it’s 1am while we’re writing this) it’s the release date for the highly anticipated (and delayed) Aliens: Colonial Marines.

We are pretty much fans of the Alien’s universe, but we don’t know if this upcoming Gearbox and SEGA‘s game could meet our expectations. We’ll see.

Anyway, SEGA had found a very cool way to promote its new title. Basically they’ve put a gigantic Alien egg just in front of the London’s Tower Bridge, and when we say gigantic, we mean like 6 meters tall…IT IS FUCKING HUGE!

The installation is completely open to the public, so if you live in London it may worth a closer look (hurry up, as we don’t know how long it’ll last).

just can't be unseen!

It just can’t be unseen!

Let's save the universe. Again.

Let’s save the universe. Again.

Well done SEGA! We like this kind of advertisements!
