The best thing you can see at this year’s Eurogamer Expo is the Doom Piano

27 Sep

What is it? Exactly what it looks like. Doom played with a piano, yep, a real one. It’s weird, that’s why we really loved it. And among all the things you can see and try at this year’s Eurogamer Expo in London, this is the best one! We took a video for your pleasure. Enjoy!

Meet Xbox One

21 May

xbox one

Yep, this is it! The brand new Microsoft game console, the XBOX ONE (nice name, no really). And below you can admire its brand new shaped controller.

Here some more details:

• 8 gigs of RAM

• USB 3.0

• Wi-Fi Direct

Blu-Ray disc drive (wondering how much is Sony’s bill for this)

• 64-bit architecture

Wired (that tried the new Xbox) reported that Xbox One will NOT require an always-online internet connection, but due to an installation of every game on the HDD and a registration on the Xbox site required, Microsoft confirmed with that while installations to other hard drives are allowed, users will need to pay an unspecified fee to do so. ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME?? So I need to pay even if I borrow a game from my friend. Thanks.

The Xbox One won’t play any existing Xbox 360 games, said Microsoft’s Marc Whitten in an interview with The Verge.

“The system is based on a different core architecture, so back-compat doesn’t really work from that perspective.”

Microsoft’s Harvey Eagle told IGN another super good news (see: irony). In fact seems like your Kinect will need to be connected in order for the Xbox One to function:

“Kinect does require to be connected to Xbox One in all cases, yes.”

Xbox One will hit the stores this fall, but still no release date.

SEGA launches Segakawaii

8 Apr

segakawaii

After the incredibly cool series of laptop themed on all the SEGA’s consoles presented few months ago, now the Japanese ex-hardware-but-still-software house launches a new “project” called Segakawaii (you know, kawaii in Japanese means “cute”).

Basically Segakaii is a series of accessories themed on SEGA goods, like consoles and pads. For example on April 25 will be available (obviously only in Japan) the first item…a giant Dreamcast pad backpack! Later on will be released other stuff, including a very cool Dreamcast t-shirt!

Threadless is an online community of artists and an e-commerce website based in Chicago, where designs are created by and chosen by an online community.

Each week, about 1,000 designs are submitted online and are put to a public vote. After seven days the staff reviews the top-scoring designs. Based on the average score and community feedback, about 10 designs are selected each week, printed on clothing and other products, and sold worldwide in limited editions.

This article is just to let you know that right now a very cool t-shirt is available. Take a look!

A Pixel of My Childhood Design by Adam Jhesu Rufino Nakamura threadless

This awesome t-shirt, that features some pixelated Nintendo controllers, consoles and cartridges, is called “A Pixel of My Childhood” and has been design by Adam Jhesu Rufino Nakamura. In our opinion it totally worths the $20 price tag. If you want it (and you know you do) buy it here, but hurry up, it’s not going to last forever.
