Who doesn’t love classic arcade design? I mean, it’s awesome and brings lots of memories from the past! Probably Michael Mateyko and Hans Thiessen have thought the same when they created these Field Guides.
SEGA may not be in for new hardware making, but sure they know how to sell their copyrights. This is the case of these awesome iPhone covers inspired to some of the most famous SEGA consoles.
With a RRP of £429, the Xbox One is surely not the cheapest console you can find out there. But when it comes to expensive shit there’s only one place in UK (and possibly the world) where you find the craziest prices.
Using old G.I. Joe figures, Dan Polydoris known as the Chicago Toy Collector picked some classic Activision games from the Atari 2600 and custom made something incredibly amazing. He specifically chose Activision games due to their particularly memorable characters and recognizable box aesthetic, using each character’s color scheme from the game. The results are just awesome!
Are you on the hype train for JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure All-Star Battle? We are! And since yesterday Play-Asia has pus on pre-order the Limited Edition for the game we are even more!
From the picture above you can see all the contents from the special (and quite pricey) edition. Obviosuly we’ll get the game with a special box, but also the soundtrack disc, and art plate (inside an acryl case) and a very cool action figure. Below a more detailed pic of the action figure.
Unfortunately the game release is set to be Japan only for now, but hey, it’s a fighting game on a region free console! Let’s thing about it, it’ll be out on August 29th. Here’s a trailer to refresh your memory.
We’re used to incredible super cool (and rare) limited edition consoles come from Japan, but sometimes things are different. This is the case of the above Limited Edition Doraemon Nintendo 3DS that is going to be “released” in Taiwan only.
Actually, is not even going to be released. In fact, Nintendo is localising the game Doraemon: Nobita’s Number Adventure in Taiwan, and to mark the game release, is also holding some sort of contest, in which the prizes are five of these wonderful handhelds.
So yes, this is going to be quite a rare console…prepare your wallets collectors.
We all know what a great game is the original OutRun (and possibly even greater is the sequel), but someone thinks it is really special. So special to deserve a LEGO scale model of its original Deluxe Arcade Cabinet!
A blogger called TAGGSTA, that runs an OutRun related blog, decided to create possibly the most beautiful mini arcade cabinet ever, and made out of LEGO bricks! Ah…and completely working!
Taggsta was inspired by a previous OutRun deluxe LEGO creation he found on the net; then he decided to create his own, but then add the real game into it (seems legit!). This little beauty was done using an iPhone with iCade mobile via Bluetooth.
Well, the result is amazing! Check out the video uploaded by the creator!
We’ll definitely buy of those if SEGA and LEGO would collaborate to make it real and mass produced!
A very cool t-shirt and official apologies from Capcom after cancelling the Blood Swimming Pool event31 May
In the beginning we were utterly excited for the Blood Swimming Pool Event organized by Capcom to celebrate, with few lucky people, the launch of Resident Evil Revelations on home consoles.
Then, a few days later, we got a bit of disappointment by the cancelling of the event itself due to the tragic happenings of Woolwich, even because we achieved to get some tickets to the event.
But you know, Capcom is good, and the PR team decided to send to all the ticket-holders some free stuff, trying to beg our forgiveness. Today we got the parcel in our mail box, here’s what was inside.
Yep, it’s not super cool merchandise, but we still appreciate the apologies. This is how you behave if you want to be one of the top rated software houses in the world (no EA, you’re not included in the list). But that’s not all, the main gift is shown below.
Yay! A super cool Queen Zenobia Crew t-shirt! Thanks Capcom guys, we’ll never forget your kindness!
Last month, from the official Okami Twitter account, Capcom said they got some upcoming big news about the series. All the teasing was made in occasion of the Japanese Golden Week which is a period of multiple consecutive holidays in Japan. Here’s the tweet:
— 大神 絶景版（公式） (@OKAMI_CAP) April 18, 2013
Yes, we know that you probably can’t speak Japanese, so here’s a translation:
“Hello, this is Okami news. Sorry if I’ve been kind of out of touch lately, but I have the feeling we’ll be able to drop a fresh announcement like WHAM! around the beginning of Golden Week, so please look forward to it. Right now we’re on track with preparations.”
Obviously everyone got super excited, expecting some big announcement about, let’s say, Okami 2.
No way…today Capcom announced some Okami merchandise, and just for the Japanese market.
This is the worst way to start a new week.

So we’re in, but what’s in the pack? Pay what you want and get the beloved and hilarious platformer Psychonauts; the matryoshka doll epic adventure Stacking; and the adorable adventure/RPG Costume Quest. If you pay over the average, you’ll get the heavy metal action/adventure/RTS rocker Brütal Legend. You’ll also become a slacker backer of Double Fine’s Kickstarter point-and-click adventure game, Broken Age, with a purchase of $35 or more and receive the finished game and bonus content that comes with it! And if you pay $70 or more you’ll receive a limited edition Double Fine T-shirt (choose from two color options) in addition to everything else! Additionally, this bundle includes tons of soundtracks that will have your ears jumping for joy!
