Hyperkin’s RetroN 5 gets delayed until 2014

Earlier this year we reported the announcement of the RetroN 4, the multi-retro-compatible console by Hyperkin. But since then, the guys at the American manufacturer have continued developing, believing on the power of retrogaming (we love them!); so the RetroN 5 has been announced.

The mighty all-in-one console has slots for Famicom, NES, SNES, GameBoy Advance and Mega Drive (all of them both NTSC and PAL), and features its own controller alongside slots for original NES, SNES, and Genesis peripherals. All this with HDMI as output. Basically it’s just awesome!

The RetroN 5 was set to be released this December, problem is it got delayed because the company found that some packaged units had faulty pins, and is now taking a bit of extra time to resolve the issue. So, retro-lovers, you have to wait till Q1 2014 to put your greedy hands on this! Such a shame!
