Someone built a machine to catch shiny Pokémon in X & Y

shiny pokemon chatch machine

If you’re a Pokémon fan and you own the new X & Y, you probably already know about the process to catch shiny Pokémon called “chaining”. If not, it’s very simple, basically Game Freak implemented a new mechanism that increase the rate of shinies appearance rate on successful chain fishing (or encountering in tall grass). Obviously this is a quite long and very boring method, that led YouTube user dekuNukem to build his own shiny catcher machine.

How it works? Well, watch the video and you’ll know.

As you can see from the video, the machine is not catching shiny Pokémon for you, but it’s doing the dirty job of repeatedly fishing in the same spot again and again until the shiny shows up.

By quoting one of the comments to the video, we’d like to say that science gave us this instead of flying cars…and we’re totally fine with that.
