We also call a bit of bullshit on this one, because he usually spins in every jump, but still a nice video. Enjoy!
We already told you about the upcoming new crossover featuring the most iconic characters from the Shonen Jump universe, unfortunately we can still confirm that there’s no plan for a western release of J-Stars Victory VS so far. But at least we got a new trailer for all you otaku boys and gals out there…and hey, the game is for PlayStation 3 and Vita, so fuck yeah region-free!
Ok, following our previous news about Phil Fish quitting the develop of FEZ 2 that we thought was just a “bad moment” we can report now that FEZ II has been cancelled for good and is no longer in development, Polytron announced with this tweet:
It’s with a heavy heart that we announce that FEZ II has been cancelled and is no longer in development. We apologize for the disappointment
— Polytron (@Polytron) July 27, 2013
The reasons? “I fucking hate this industry” this is what Fish said facing nonstop criticism and nastiness that had caused him to think repeatedly, about leaving the business for good.
That’s a real shame.
Today we’ve been to London’s Hyper Japan Summer 2013 (even if with all the rain we took it didn’t look like summer, but hey…finally some chilly temperatures!) and finally we managed to get our greedy hands on one of our most hyped Wii U games of this year, also because, along with Pikmin 3, it is the only remarkable release set for 2013 on the Nintendo’s home console.
We are abviously talking about Wonderful 101, the next big game from Platinum Games, exclusive for Wii U, directed by Hideki “bad boy” Kamiya and produced by Atsushi Inaba.
Unfortunately, like all third-party-Nintendo-console-exclusive, the game isn’t getting the right attention from the media (or from Nintendo, you decide), and that’s a real shame, because we all know how good Platinum games are (ehm…Bayonetta…ehm…Metal Gear Rising), and this is no exception.
We played the only level available at the event, but immediately it seamed pure gold. From the graphics to the gameplay, from the character design to the use of Wii U gamepad touchscreen, everything felt super right. Sure, we didn’t play enough to write a proper preview, that’s why we’re talking about feeling…but hey…we play since we’re born and sometimes we still get it right.
Want a hint? Buy it! Also because it will probably the only good thing to play on Wii U till 2014.
A while ago we reported that Phil Fish is finally developing the sequel for his masterpiece FEZ, and that was a good news. But we all know the troubles he got through during the developing of the first game, and it’s all well documented by Indie Game: The Movie.
Now, we thought that the indie dev was matured a bit during (and after) his first dev-hell…but seems we were wrong: this is what Fish tweeted a couple of hours ago.
We hope and believe this is not true, it’s just a “bad moment” in the process. But we also think that Phis has to make up his mind and behave like a grown up, without giving less shit about other people attacking him on the internet! And we’re not alone, also Cliff Bleszinski think the same:
@PHIL_FISH Dude you’re letting the idiots get to you again STAHP. 🙂
— Cliff Bleszinski (@therealcliffyb) July 27, 2013
This news is not to mock him or what…we just want to express our support to a talentous game dev!
As you know Killer is Dead will be released in Japan in just about 5 days (we have to wait till the end of August here in Europe) and the hype train is running like hell! So, to make the wait even more painful, here a couple of new trailers of the upcoming Suda 51 game!
As usual, with the trailers, Kadokawa has released some new KID TV videos, with lots of boobs, Jessica Nigri and other interesting stuff. You can find them here.
When Zone of the Enders HD collection came out it was everything but a proper HD. In fact, even Kojima complained about the poor improvements made on his games, promising a new version soon. Well, they didn’t make a bran new version, instead Konami gave the game to japanese developer Hexa Drive, that patched the game in true HD. Below you can find some comparisons between the game before the patch and after.
Good news? The patch is already out to download and upgrade your game! The bad one? For now, this is PS3 only….such a shame!
The new arcade version of Mario Kart, called Mario Kart Arcade GP DX, born after the collaboration between Nintendo and Namco Bandai, is finally out in Japan. Unfortunately we don’t know if this special cabinet will ever see the light of the day outside the rising sun land, but hey…it features a drivable shooting tank! Here’s the brand new launch trailer.
As you can see from the trailer, a part from the already present in previous versions Pac-Man, this new arcade-only chapter will feature a bran new character from the Namco Bandai roaster, Don from Taiko Drum Master. Also, the game has a coop mode, used to combine two player’s kart in a powerful tank!
By the way, here’s how the cabinet looks like.
Namco Bandai is still thinking about a western release…let’s hope.
