Phantasy Star Online 2 was expected for an “early 2013” release in the west, as long the game is available in Japan since last July. But it’s almost April and still no game. So yesterday a Sega Of America spokesman stated:

“Originally slated for an early 2013 launch, Sega can officially confirm that PS02 has been delayed. We don’t have any specifics but will update everyone as soon as there are more details to share.”

It seems that the delay is due to localization issues, but that’s just a rumor. Said so, it looks like we have to wait a bit longer before be able to play this awesome J-RPG in a non-Japanese language, but if you’re so impatient you can always use the free-to-play japanese version.
